In When It All Started, your character is a 19-year-old guy who lives a normal life with his parents as well as two sisters. You all live together in a large house in the downtown region of your city. You have come home for summer break and plan to get reacquainted with your aunt, who just married. Your father's job is computer engineering and he's working on some vital project lately, while your mom is upset because she thinks you don't care that much about your schooling and play video games too much. One evening your house is invaded by two crooks and they take your mom and you as hostages. They decide to escape and run off with what they stole and put your mom into some sort of compromising scenario so you won't call the cops. That is when things got weird.
